Madhouse has not announced any plans of renewing Hunter X Hunter for new seasons yet. They’re currently busy with other projects instead and have released several anime series and films last year.

Who is Kurapika’s target?
Kurapika’s designed target is Tonpa, who in turn has Leorio as his target. After Leorio is tricked by Tonpa and Sommy and loses his badge, Kurapika appears, knocks Tonpa down, and asks Leorio to team up with him, to which Leorio agrees. They take the badges #16 and #118 from Tonpa and Sommy.

Hisoka hunts down a bushy browed applicant in blood lust and whilst he’s focused on them, Gon steals his ID tag and runs for it. Gon then gets shot with a tranquiliser pin which immobilises Gon and it turns out that the applicant who had Gon as his target, was watching him this whole time.
How many stages are there in the Hunter Exam?
Usually, in every exam there are about 5 or 6 stages. Since the location of the exam changes, so does the location of the phases, and their goal. Passing the third stage grants an applicant unconditional access to the following year’s Hunter Exam. Examiners are elite Hunters who are examining the applicants without pay.
