Take Exit 3 to Route 5 North to Route 147 West (Memorial Avenue) approximately 3/4 miles to Gate 9 parking lot. Note: Using I-91 north or south to get to the Big E will have the most traffic.
Do you need cash for the Big E?
You can enter at any of three gates on the Big E grounds — Gate 9, reachable by GPS at 875 Memorial Ave.; Gate 2 at 1535 Memorial Ave.; and Gate 1 at 1761 Memorial Ave. Parking, which costs $10 and must be paid for in cash is offered only at Gate 9 for cars, trucks and vans.

Yes you can. We did bring in 2 large partially frozen bottles with no questions. The search bags for dangerous items / weapons. If you do need to buy water the state buildings have the lowest prices.

WEST SPRINGFIELD (CBS) — The Big E fair will return to West Springfield this year after the coronavirus pandemic forced the 2020 event to be canceled. The 105th fair will take place from September 17 to October 3. This year’s theme is “Big is Back.”
How many people go to the Big E in a day?
Attendance numbers Saturday set an all-time, single-day record with 177,238 people that went through the gates. That broke the attendance record set on the second Saturday of the 2019 fair by almost 1,000. Sunday was another big day at the fairgrounds with 118,582 visitors.
