Can I change address on my TV Licence?
When you move home your TV Licence doesn’t automatically move with you, so you will need to move your licence by signing into your licence and updating your address. You can let us know the date of your move and your new address up to three months before hand. You’ll need your TV Licence number to do this.
Is a TV Licence registered to an address or person?
Is an address or person required to be licensed? A TV Licence is issued in the name of the person paying the fee and covers the use of television receiving equipment at the address/premises specified on the Licence.

What happens if I’m moving home and still don’t need a license TV Licensing?
If you’re sure you don’t need your own licence anymore, you can apply for a refund online. When you apply, please tell us why you’re cancelling it and the date you won’t need your licence from. You can apply up to 14 days before you no longer need the licence.

Do I need a TV Licence for Netflix?
With the exception of BBC iPlayer content, you only need a licence for watching or recording content as it is broadcast on TV. If you’re streaming on-demand movies or TV shows on Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, Netflix or YouTube (or any other online video service) you don’t currently need a licence.

- Confirmation the new TV Licence holder is covered by the current TV Licence.
- Your name (current TV Licence holder)
- TV Licence number.
