The NewVision Showplace 14 Pekin was closed on March 16, 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. That closure was made permanent on July 13 2020 when NewVision Theatre went out of business. It was taken back by AMC Theatres in August 2020 and reopened in June 2021 as the AMC Classic Pekin 14.
