Can diarrhea cause birth control to fail?
Using laxatives, which cause you to have a bowel movement (poop), may make your birth control pills less effective. This is because your body doesn’t have time to fully absorb the pill. Vomiting or having diarrhea for more than 48 hours (2 days) can also lower the effectiveness of your pill.
Does Yaz cause birth defects?
Drugs that increase or decrease drug metabolism may decrease or increase blood levels of Yaz, respectively. There is little or no increased risk of birth defects in women who inadvertently use oral contraceptives during early pregnancy.

Although rare, weight fluctuations are considered a less severe side effect of birth control pills like Vienva. It is possible that Vienva can cause a slight weight gain or weight loss.
