Do Boris Bikes have GPS?
As of January 2020, TfL will be trialling the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) technology on a number of bikes in the Santander Cycles fleet. GPS enabled bikes will be deployed randomly at docking stations across the cycle hire network.
Is there a Boris bike app?

Transport for London (TfL) asks all its Santander Cycles users to follow the Highway Code and cycle responsibly, including not cycling on the pavement. In accepting the terms and conditions, all users are asked to abide by the Highway Code.
What happens if you don’t return a Boris bike?
You can return the cycle at any time, as long as it’s within 24 hours. You could be charged up to £300 if you damage the cycle or don’t return it.
How do I park my Santander bike?
To park the bike temporarily, open the nextbike app and press ‘Park. ‘ Then press down the frame lock lever. A beep will confirm that the bike is locked. To continue the ride, press ‘Open Lock’ on the app to reopen the frame lock.

Getting started is easy: simply hire a bike, ride it where you like, then return it to any of the hundreds of docking stations across the city. It costs £2 to access the bikes for 24-hour bike access, and the first 30 minutes of each journey is free. Longer journeys cost £2 for each additional 30 minutes.
