Pros: Schoology makes it easy to organize assignments, handouts, links etc all in one place and it is very easy to use from both a teacher and student perspective. The discussion board feature is also really nice to have asynchronous discussions and share their opinion without hearing/reading other responses first.
Why is Google Classroom better than Schoology?
Google Classroom does not provide a central hub to house and access all the edtech tools used in the classroom. However, a more complete LMS like Schoology Learning provides schools and districts with a centralized digital location and a common language with grade passback.
Why do schools use Schoology instead of Google Classroom?
Schoology makes it way easier for students to see what’s going on in class and it’s a lot more organized. My favorite feature is the built in grade book but there is one problem with it. Teachers have to synch up 2 grade books because we have Home Access Center (HAC) and the Schoology gradebook.
