Outdoor pool hours are from 11:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. daily, with a break for pool cleaning between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Walking around Fort Totten is great for the water views—Little Bay, Little Neck Bay, Throgs Neck, and the Long Island Sound. The Queens Greenway connects Fort Totten to the footpath between Little Neck Bay and the Cross Island Expressway. There’s an outdoor swimming pool.

Is Astoria Pool Safe?
Astoria Park Pool Astoria had a pH level of 7.2 ppm, which was also between the CDC-recommended 7 to 8 ppm. Contrary to McCarren, Astoria’s free chlorine/bromine level was low at between 0.5 and 1 and 1 to 2 ppm. Low chlorine levels are caused by sunlight, debris, dirt and material from swimmer’s bodies, said the CDC.
